ACCRA, Ghana: The Fodome Hloma Pictures community officially launched DUNENYO ZA 2027, a new community development initiative, on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at the University of Ghana Pool Garden in Accra. The launch was held to raise awareness and mobilize support for the community's development priorities.
The programme was chaired by Lawyer Agbakpe and brought together traditional and community representatives, public officials, and supporters of the Fodome Hloma community.
A new initiative with three priorities
Organisers presented DUNENYO ZA 2027 as a fresh start. It is a new initiative with a clear, three-point agenda:
- Completion of a basic school block
- Construction of a community center
- Advocacy for a polyclinic
The polyclinic is, for now, a matter of advocacy. The community's immediate focus is on rallying leaders, partners, and well-wishers to push for the facility, while the school block and community center are the projects it aims to complete through its own fundraising and partnerships.
Organisers are calling on indigenes at home and abroad, friends of the community, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and development partners to support the vision.
Guests of honour
The launch was attended by distinguished personalities, including:
FOHDA executives
The executives of FOHDA were also present: CEO Agorwu, and Ben Afortor;
Organisers and the wider community extend heartfelt appreciation to the Planning Committee of the launch, whose dedication, hard work, and commitment made the Accra event a success. Their effort has laid a strong foundation for the journey ahead.
What comes next
The celebration continues in the Volta Region on 2 January 2027. The gathering will give the people of Fodome Hloma and their friends another opportunity to come together, celebrate their heritage, and support the initiative.
Organizers say everyone has a role to play, whether through financial contributions, partnerships, advocacy, or volunteering.
